Marek Wyrzuc

Marek Wyrzuc, age 61, passed away on Wednesday February 22, 2023, surrounded by his family at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rahway.

Born in Kalino, Poland, to Henryk and Genowefa Wyrzuc, he lived in Irvington for several years before most recently residing in Linden for the past 28 years. He was a self-employed owner of Marek Wyrzuc Construction of Linden for over 30 years. People knew him as a jovial, funny, and kind man who was always the center of every family gathering and heart every story. He was known for his jokes, for the ease with which he welcomed people into his home and made them family, and for his weekend adventures in Atlantic City. He was an avid fisherman, and could often we be seen with a rod in hand during the summer months or around the campfire. His family dubs him the King of Polish Sandwiches; they would magically appear every time he was around. He was loved by his customers, his neighbors, and the number of grandmothers he would adopt over the years and take care of as if they were his own.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Agnieszka Wyrzuc (nee Raczek); daughter Julia, son Jacob, four siblings, many nieces and nephews, and numerous lifelong friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Friday March 3, 2023,12 pm, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Irvington. Interment of ashes to follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Arrangements are under the direction of the Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066.
