Helena J. Mochol (nee Szymanek), age 82, of Colonia, passed away on Saturday October 9, 2021, at the JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Born in Annopol, Poland, to Stanislaw and Zofia Szymanek, she lived in Union for several years and most recently Colonia. She was a homemaker and for many years worked as a caregiver to the elderly. Mrs. Mochol was known to her close friends as Jadzia. She was very religious, a great believer, and never missed Mass even through the pandemic. Mrs. Mochol lived for her grandchildren and loved them all and had an extremely close relationship with Kamil since she helped raise him as a child. Kamil’s wife Emily had a very loving and unique bond with Babci. Her loving devotion to her family and friends will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Mochol is survived by her four children, Ireneusz and his wife Alicja, Dariusz and his wife Joanna, Eva Mochol, and Malgorzata and her husband Ryszard Wargala; one sister Maryla Sulkowska; six grandchildren, Magdalena, Kamil and his wife Emily, Sylwia, Malwina, Karolina and Martyna; five great grandchildren, Aydann, Logan, Evan, Lily and Julia; one dog Zeke.
She is predeceased by her husband Czeslaw Mochol; three brothers, Eugeniusz, Waldemar, and Jozef.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Thursday October 14, 2021, from 10 am to 11:30 am at the Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066. A funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:30 am thence to Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church Irvington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12 pm. Interment, St. Gertrude Cemetery.
