Elzbieta Sokalski

Elzbieta Sokalski, age 52, passed away on Friday September 25, 2020, at the St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston.

Born in Newark, to Boleslaw and Janina Sokalski, she most recently resided in Union since 1982. Ms. Sokalski worked as a school psychologist for over 30 years and most recently for the Board of Education, North Plainfield. She was an active parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Irvington, and participated in the church choir. Ms. Sokalski was also an avid ice skater. She was also a member of the Seton Hall University Choir and was a longtime fan and ticket holder of the men’s basketball team.

She is survived by her sister Grace Sokalski; brother, Wesley and his wife Debbie; one niece, Julianne; one nephew, Christopher; one great niece, Olivia; one great nephew, Christopher; two cousins, Helena and Andrzej Sufraga.

Ms. Sokalski is predeceased by her parents Boleslaw and Janina Sokalski.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Tuesday September 29, 2020 from 4-8 pm at the Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am, at Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Irvington. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
