Ryszard "Richie" Kazimierczak Obituary

Ryszard, “Richie” Kazimierczak passed away peacefully after an extended illness and a brief stay at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester, PA. He died surrounded by loving family members and his wife Georgia by his side.

Richie was very proud of his Polish heritage. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Leontyna Suchocki and Waclaw Kazimierczak of Poland.  Richie was born in Newark, NJ.  He was the youngest of six children. His loving mother and five adoring sisters doted on him. At the tender age of eleven, Richie’s father met an untimely death, which left a vacancy in Richie’s heart.  Later this gap would be filled, when he met the love of his life and soul mate, Georgia, “Gigi”.  Their first meeting was at the wedding of Richie’s cousin, Robert Suhoski to Georgia’s sister, Lori.  Richie and Georgia spent the early 80’s inseparable but their time together was not yet meant to be….Life’s journey eventually lead them on separate paths.  Richie and Georgia married others and each was blessed with a beautiful child, Richard Kazimierczak and Lauren Raffie. After a long separation, Richie and Georgia were reunited once again at the 50th wedding anniversary of Richie’s Uncle Chet and Aunt Iris Suhoski.  Richie and Georgia embraced and Richie whispered into his reclaimed soul mate’s ear, “Never let me go.”  Georgia and Richie were finally wed on October 5th, 2007 overlooking the mansion at Ridley Creek State Park in Media, PA.

Like his father, Richie loved fresh water fishing but on occasion enjoyed deep-sea fishing. He was a true music aficionado.  He went to many concerts, too many to count!  He appreciated blues to heavy metal.  In his earlier days he dabbled with the drums for fun.

Richie was very fond of wildlife, especially birds. His favorites were bald eagles, cardinals, robins and hummingbirds. Georgia and Richie had a hummingbird that visited them and they named her, “Harriet.” Harriet nested in the tree next to their deck. They derived much pleasure from watching Harriet raise two babies.  One of Richie’s favorite pastimes was viewing the live eagle cam in Hanover, PA.  Richie also loved cats, as any friends on Facebook would know from his “Caturday” postings every Saturday.  His Maine Coon cats, Cecil and Lola were his babies and he cared for them as such.

Richie was blessed with a great sense of humor.  He had a quick wit and an infectious laugh. Richie had a love of old black and white movies.  Some of his favorites were, It’s a Wonderful Life, and March of the Wooden Soldiers.  He loved The Little Rascals and would get together with his male cousins and quote all of their most favorite scenes verbatim and crack each other up endlessly!  Richie loved the movie Titanic starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet which showed his romantic side.

Richie occasionally enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and playing the lottery.  Richie was an avid sports fan rooting for the Mets and the NY Giants.  Richie also enjoyed Fantasy baseball and football.

Richie was a consultant/salesperson for nearly 40 years working in the HVAC industry in NJ and PA.  He had a great work ethic and was a dedicated employee. His most recent employer was R.E. Michel Inc. of West Chester, PA.

Family was of utmost importance to Richie and he was proud of his large close knit family.  He very much looked forward to the annual family picnic tradition started by his nieces.  It meant so much to him seeing his many aunts, uncles, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins that he so dearly loved.  Most importantly Richie will be missed for his beautiful spirit, genuine kindness, humor, sensitivity and caring nature.

He leaves behind his ever-loving and devoted wife Georgia, his son, Richard Kazimierczak and his fiancé Kassandra and granddaughter, Avery and stepdaughter Lauren Raffie. Richie leaves behind five beloved sisters: Teresa Wodjyla, her husband John, Barbara Sudylo, Krystyna Pankiw and her husband Walter, Diana Kazimierczak, Lucy D’Agostino and her husband Bobby.  Richie leaves behind his Aunt Irene Jaszyn whom he loved as a second mother (with their shared birthday) and his cousin Chris Jaszyn whom he loved as a brother.  Richie also leaves behind many other beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.

In Memory of Ryszard Kazimierczak, a donation to Neighborhood Hospice, in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
