Claudia M. Babinski

Claudia M. Babinski, 64, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark.  Beloved sister of Stanley A. Babinski and his wife MaryLou, and Philip F. Babinski. Caring aunt of Laura Babinski Jordan and her husband, Chad, and David Sanders and his wife, Tracy; great-aunt of Caleb and Luke Jordan and DJ Sanders. Cherished niece of Frances Kucharski and Mildred Babinski. She will also be missed by her “Big Sister”, Joan O’Brian and her “Little Sister”, Susan Varieur; as well as many cousins and friends. Claudia will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Born in Newark, NJ to the late Stanley and Rose Babinski, she had been a lifelong resident of Irvington. Claudia worked as an educator with the Irvington School System for 37 years.  She was a longtime active member and pillar of the church at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Irvington.  She served as Secretary of the Parish Council, organized the church website and coordinated the food drives.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, March 30th, at 8:45 a.m. from the Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home, 211 Westfield Ave., Clark, N.J., thence to Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Irvington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation is on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, kindly offer donations to the Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C.C. Building Fund, 537 Grove St. Irvington, NJ 07111.
