Richard Szymanik, age 67, passed away on Tuesday February 14, 2024, at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ. Born in Ognica, Poland, to Tadeusz and Stefania Szymanik, he resided in Newark, Irvington and most recently in Union for the past 25 years. He is survived by his wife Lesya, his mother, Stefania; two brothers, Jan and his wife Hanna and Lester and his wife Agnieszka, six nieces and nephews, Renee, Robert, Thomas, Michael, Alex and Julia. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Wednessday February 21, 2024, from 8:30-10:30 am, at the Parkway Wozniak Memorial Home 211 Westfield Ave. Clark, NJ 07066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday February 17, 2024, at 11 am, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Irvington. Interment at Our Lady of Czestochowa, Doylestown, PA. In lieu of flowers, kindly offer donations to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Building Fund 537 Grove Street Irvington or to the National Alliance on Mental Illness at www.nami.org/Home.
