To Jeanne, Lynne and Ed,
Your Mom and Carl were so special to me, childhood Stroller memories of course, and I always felt so connected to them as I sailed aboard my beloved Lancer 30 -- and was so happy Rose got to sail on her again with me
in Norfolk, VA. She will be missed. My deepest sympathy -- Jamie

Dear Ed and family,
May your mother's love and her memories remain in your hearts forever. She will be missed by all who loved her. My love and sympathies go out to you and your family. Love, Ruth & Holly Gavel
This is a poem written by my husband.....
LOVE HOLDS MY HAND IN THE VALLEY
Love holds my hand in the valley, Dries ev’ry tear from my eye.
Sings me a song when I’m weary, Finds me a reason to try.
Just as the lover of roses, Holds to the fragrance of Spring;
Minds not the thorn that reposes, Oh, love is a wonderful thing!
Love, flowing on like a river, Has no beginning or end.
Unmarred, unbroken forever, Born in the heart of a friend.
Love will not leave you, will never deceive you,
Oh, Love holds my hand in the valley,
Dries ev’ry tear from my eye – Finds me a reason to try.
Oh Love, O Love…Love.

Dear Ed Jeanie and Lynn,
Our thoughts and prayers will always be with you. We will always cherish the memories that we have especially the part of our lives in Maplewood .Your Mother would always light up every room with her personality.I still have a beautiful vase that I will always cherish, that she had given me about 25 years ago. I always keep it next to my bed with fresh flowers in it. So every morning when I wake up,it is the first thing that I see and I always think of her. She has always and will always have a special place in our hearts.
With love always, Tina and Ruth

Jeanne, if I had read this earlier today I would not have called. Your Mom sounds like a person I would have enjoyed in better times. We had a lot in common in love of theater, especially local theater. She must have been a fascinating lady who left you with a boat load of wonderful memories & stories. Share them with anyone who will listen. That will keep her alive in you, too. My condolences Jeanne, & Ed, & family.

Rose always a delight. A close and much-admired friend of my wife, Rachel--together they shared mutual respect and lots of laughs. Rose was one of a select few.
